Dispensaries \ Caregivers

VTUCP establishes laws regarding marijuana dispensaries and caregivers. Caregivers must be designated by the patient and have the responsibility for assisting the patient in the safe use of medical marijuana, and providing medical cannabis to patients. Caregivers must grow cannabis for qualified patients in a single, secure, indoor facility. A caregiver may care for up to five (5) qualifying patient at a time. Vermont Caregivers must be registered with the state, be 21 years of age or older, cannot have been convicted of a drug-related crime, and submit to a a criminal record check. Dispensaries are defined as non-profit Compassion Centers authorized to grow and provide registered qualifying patients with usable marijuana and related paraphernalia. These are state licensed operations that must register with the state of Delaware.
